If you don't know what today is....shame on you!

Today is the night before Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is released for sale! And I, like so many before me, will be attending a book release party at the local Barnes and Noble. I have never been to one of these parties before and have no idea what the protocol is but I will not be wearing any costume (I don't have one).

I will update you on the adventure tomorrow after the book has been obtained and the party is ended. YES, I am a nerd! Thank you for noticing.

On another note, I made the mistake of trying Starbucks this morning instead of my usual Panera Bread trip. Big Mistake! Carmel Lattes and Cheese Danishes are MUCH better Panera style.Not to mention not having to push my way through the line of all those "cool" coffee drinkers who take 5 minutes to decide that they want to order the same thing that they get everytime. If you don't know what the hell you want by the time that you get to the counter then get the hell out of the way so someone else can order!

On that note, I apologize to Cliff for every time I took too long in the McD's line. I now understand the pain.

I hate waiting sooo much.

I was reading on MSN a report "Questions I hope will be answered in the 6th book." The first question: "What happened to Norbert?" WHAT!? Oh yeah, well Voldemort is back, everyone knows it now so there's no point in hiding, a cataclysmic battle between good and evil... but remember that dragon mentioned for about 3 chapters in the first book? Where'd he go?

I'm all for dragons... my favorite fantasy creatures, actually.. but come on..

Or...perhaps we simply aren't giving Norbert enough credit. After all, Scabbers seemed like just a rat in books 1-3 (well most of 3) and look at the major role that he has taken now. Similarly, Lockhart disappears for books 3 & 4 then reappears in Order of the Pheonix.

Norbert MAY actually take a role in upcoming books. Who knows? I am not willing to reject the possibility that he could return.
